Naomi Klien and Astra Taylor in The Guardian
I want to alert you to an important and stimulating new interview with Naomi Klien and Astra Taylor that appears in The Guardian this morning as a first episode of a new video series called “Radical Ideas”.
You can view it on the Guardian Website or on YouTube.
The title of the article is ‘Gaza is a moral tear in the universe’. However, it is not strictly, or event mostly, about Gaza. Nor is it just a re-hash of their book, “End Times Fascism and the Fight for the Living World“. Rather it expands on the book, brings things up to date and takes their analysis of how we may confront the onslaught of end times fascism to a deeper level.
If you are not familiar with their book, I urge you to read it. Or if you don’t have time right now (or if you are not by nature a big book reader, that’s ok) you can get a good summary with their interview with Robert Reich on YouTube.
You may want to see my previous post, “To Fatalistic Fascism, we say F..Off!“.
A word about “The Guardian”: It is a venerable British newspaper and it is my choice for daily news and analysis. Their coverage of events in the U.S. is as good as the big American newspapers. This is a personal endorsement, not an advertisement. Visit the website and consider a subscription. They are a worthy cause to support.
